After my departure from Tangier, I rode through the mountains and later at last arrived in a trading city, Tlemcen. I replenished my supplies and set off on a pilgrimage trail through valleys for days with no towns or people insight. At noon I sighted a group of travelers! My isolation was no more, and I walked with them. I talked with them and they said they were as well going towards Mecca, but not the reason I was going. They were going to study about the Dar Il Aslam or The World of Islam. I was going of course to increase my knowledge on Islam religion and law. At last we stopped outside the walls of Algiers and camped.
